UNITE HERE always stresses the union's role as an independent voice for working people. We support representatives who stand up for working people regardless of their political party. In election campaigns, we provide information, not voting instructions.

UNITE HERE's member political activists are "watch dogs" who work to hold officials accountable and make the political system more responsive to workers' needs.
